Off to North Carolina!

December 23, 2009
I got my flight plans this past week and will be flying out on Monday. I leave the MTC at 4:00 AM and my flight leaves from Salt Lake at 7:45 AM. I will be landing in North Carolina around 3:45 PM.
Elder Kopp is finally opening up and he is the funniest kid out there. We are starting to teach in unity which is way awesome. We taught a couple of investigators and we know our stuff and are teaching by the Spirit. I told him to lead this week because I usually talk a lot so it has been going pretty good. Our teachers, Brother Carson and Sister Warner, left this past week to go home for Christmas. I was really sad but that's life. They taught me a lot but most important the Spirit taught me through their spirits. I got to go to temple square on Friday because I am a "foreigner" which I thought was funny. it was really awesome going there during Christmas and seeing all the decorations and going on a bunch of tours. I also tried out to sing in a devotional/fireside for next week and got asked to sing on Sunday. So I'm pretty pumped about that.
The most exciting thing that has happened was yesterday. We have been doing a really deep doctrine class on the Atonement. I learned so much more than I already knew and then we got to listen to an apostle of the Lord, Neil L. Anderson, speak. What an amazing thing and feeling it was to hear him. The Spirit testified to me that he was called of God and that he had a knowledge that Christ was our Savior. He had a knowledge of it. he had his grand children sing and it reminded me of Kaylawnni and Jazzy! He talked about 1 Nephi 11:16. How we can know the condescension of God. He also talked about how the Spirit can condescend on your investigators and yourself. It was definitely an awesome devotional. I am excited to see who is going to come in the next couple of days.
Things are going really good. I am getting sick of the food though. I also can't wait to get out into the field. I have also been reading a lot in Alma about Amulek. What an awesome role model.
